Brass Bonanza:  Ok, here we go! Just in case you didn’t know.  Maybe you didn’t hear about it, you’ve been away a long time.  They didn’t go up there and tell you.  They didn’t go up there and tell you the Brass Bonanza Award is given to the week’s biggest loser.  Brass Bonanza was the Hartford Whalers fight song.  Need I say more?   

This week’s award goes out to none other than Matt Leinart.  He had the sun and the rain in his hands.  He had the moon and the stars in his hands.  He had the wind and the clouds in his hands.  He had the whole world in his hands.  And he pissed it away.

It was more important for Matt Leinart to do funnels than to be an NFL quarterback.  It was more important for Matt Leinart to do the celebrity thing than to be an NFL quarterback.  It was more important for Matt Leinart to get paid than to be an NFL quarterback. 

Matt Leinart was given the keys to the Caddy and he drove it into a ditch.  Now, on Sunday, he’ll be watching the Super Bowl from the sidelines rather than playing in it.  Now, on Sunday, Kurt Warner gets the title shot outdoors at the ballpark and what does Matt Leinart get?  That’s right, he gets a one-way ticket to Palooka-ville!  He gets the Brass Bonanza.
