Reveille

Suns 103  Generals Wizards 87:  What’s gotten into Shaq Daddy?  Twenty-nine points is one thing.  A pretty big thing.  But it’s not the thing.  Last night, Shaquille O’Neal made nine of ten free-throw attempts.  Nine of ten.  Who does he think he is?  Ray Allen?  It was the first time in six years that the Big Cactus made at least 90 percent of his free throws in a game in which he attempted 10-or-more foul shots.  How about that?

Knicks 104  Rockets 98:  Will this Rockets team ever play at full strength?  Maybe if they do, they’ll hang onto a lead.  The Rockets led the Knicks 80-74 at the end of the third quarter last night, but New York put on their rally caps and got the victory.  Now that’s something they can hang their rally caps on.  The Knicks had been 0-21 this season in games in which they trailed heading into the fourth quarter.  Before last night, the Knicks were the only team in the league that had not won a game in which it was behind entering the final period.  Maybe this team has a shot of making the playoffs after all.

Marquette 71  Notre Dame 64:  Like my main Norm Dale always says, “Five players on the floor functioning as one single unit.  Team, team, team.  No one more important that the other.”  That was the story of last night’s ballgame.  The eighth-ranked Golden Eagles had four players finish with more than thirteen points while Notre Dame’s Luke Harangody had to do everything by his lonesome dove.  It was Marquette’s 10th straight victory and Notre Dame’s fourth consecutive loss.  You don’t need a weatherman to see which way they wind blows.

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!

Share the love baby!

Shaw has always been freakishly good. It's scary. I remember being a big fan of his more than 10 years ago back in his Orlando Magic days and he still doesn't seem to be slowing down.

I love me some Shaq. After Dwight Howard, he's still the best big man in the game.
