Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go! Remember Andy Pettitte was insulted by the Yankees’ one-year, $10 million offer? Remember he said the team owed him for past performances? Remember how his widdle feewings were hurt? I guess he got over all that. The Yankees just signed Pettitte to a one-year, $5.5 million contract. Like my main rabbit Bugs Bunny always says, “What a maroon, what an ignoranimous.”

It's a great deal for the Yankees, IF Pettitte is what they think he is, over the hill. If his numbers are comparable to last year he'll wind up making almost $12 million as the incentives are mainly tied to appearances and innings. Regardless its a good deal that protects the club, and keeps a fan fav in house. I'm all for it!
