Reveille

Pistons 95  Raptors 76:  The Richard Hamilton experiment has begun.  Rip did not enter last night’s game until late in the first period.  Hamilton has started his last 531 regular-season games.  Started thirty-six games with the Wizards.  Started 495 games with the Pistons.  Didn’t start last night.  Who cares?  It’s not who starts, but who finishes.  And besides, it worked.  Pistons won, and isn’t that what it’s all bout?

Knicks 114  Suns 109:  I like me some David LeeBig Nate too.  But David Lee is one heck of ballplayer.  Last night, David Lee had twenty-five big points.  Last night, David Lee had sixteen big rebounds.  Big deal you say?  Who cares you say?  I say that makes Lee was the first player to post at least twenty-five points and fifteen rebounds for the Knicks in a game against the Big Shaqtus, the Big Cactus, the Big Galactus since Patrick Ewing.  How about that?

Devils 5  Canadiens 2:   I love it when the Habs lose.  Just love it. Look out now, here come the Devils.  The first place Devils.  First place in the Patrick Division.  First place, thanks in part to Patrick Elias.  Last night, Elias clinched the win with a shorthanded empty-net goal.  That was Elias’ 20th goal of the season.  That marks the eighth time that he’s reached the 20-goal plateau in his NHL career, a career spent entirely with New Jersey.  The only other player in Devil’s history with as many 20-goal seasons for the team as Elias was John MacLean.  And there you have it.

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!
