Mavericks 95  76ers 93:  What?  No Lakers?  No Cavs?  No Kobe?  No LeBron?  Patience my friends.  All in due time.  For now we’re talking Dirk.  Disco Dirk.  Disco Dirk Nowitzki.  Awwww, you broke your cherry.  You would think a guy who’s won an MVP would have done this already.  You would think a guy who’s won a  3-point shooting contest would have done this already.  He hadn’t.  Last night’s winner winner chicken dinner at the buzzer was the first buzzer-beating game-winner of Nowitzki’s 11-year NBA career.  It went through at 0:00.0!  Now remember, look at me, never rat on your friends and always keep your mouth shut.

Sabres 3  Panthers 2:  You won’t see Ales Kotalik’s name on the leaderboard.  He’s not in the top thirty goal scorers.  This guy’s a specialist.  Like Ray Quick.  Like Ray Quick, “You like watching them die?  You like taking them down?  Now I’m taking you down.”  Ales Kotalik takes ‘em down.  Takes ‘em down when it counts. 

Last night, Kotalik again scored a deciding goal in a shootout.  It was Kotalik’s league-high fourth deciding goal in a shootout this season.  It was Kotalik’s 10th deciding goal in a shootout of his career.  Big deal you say?  Who cares you say?  I say, that’s the most by any player in the four seasons that the tiebreaker has been used by the NHL.  How about that?
