I’m wonderin’, should I begin to kick ya mind or ya chin ’cause I’m the King. -Slick Rick
Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go! All hail the King. King LeBron James. I come to not to bury Caesar but to praise him. Kobe who? That’s not even the question anymore. I don’t even think His Airness himself, Michael Jordan, is the question. Like Rowdy Roddy Piper always says, “Just when you think you know the answers, I change the questions.”
King James is changing the questions all right. It’s come to the point where even I don’t know what to ask. And I’m a Curious George mother f**ker. Last night, Bron Bron filled it up for thirty. Last night, Bron Bron pulled down eleven boards. Last night, Bron Bron handed out one dollar even. Last night, she said, “Oh, baby, don’t feel so down.”
In the Cavs win last night at Memphis, Bron Bron led his team for the fourth game this season in points, boards and dimes. Big deal you say? Who cares you say? I say, that’s the highest total for any player in the league. Higher than Kobe. Higher than CP3. Higher than anybody. Higher and higher, baby. It’s a livin’ thing. It’s a terrible thing to lose.
The Cavs ain’t losing nothin’. The Cavaliers’ victory at Memphis last night improved their record to 30-6. Even with two starters out, the Cavs took care of business. That’s easy enough to do when you gots yourself some LeBron. The Cavs had some LeBron in the third. Seventeen points in the third. Just attacking the rim in the third. Like my main man General Patton always says, “Nobody ever defended anything successfully, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.”
And that’s what just what LeBron doing. Attacking the rim. Attacking the NBA. Attacking the sports landscape as we know it. Attacking each and every global icon one at a time. Witness!
