Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go! Mark McGwire. Barry Bonds. Roger Clemens. The unholy trinity. Three is a magic number. Yes it is, it’s a magic number. Somewhere in the ancient, mystic trinity, you get three, as a magic number. The shame that is steroids is claiming Big Mac as its first victim. The other two are sure to follow.
Mark McGwire drew 21.9% of the vote this year in the Hall of Fame voting. Mark McGwire drew 23.6% last year. Mark McGwire refused to talk about the past. Mark McGwire may never have been charged with the crime but he sure enough is doing the time. 583 bombs be damned.
In the letter accompanying every Hall of Fame ballot, it states that voting shall be based upon the players’ integrity, sportsmanship and character. If Mark McGwire is any indication, it is becoming abundantly clear that the sportswriters feel players who are shrouded in the haze of steroid use do not display integrity. They do not display sportsmanship. They do not display character. Right or wrong. It is what it is. Stanley, see this? This is this. This ain’t something else. This is this. From now on, you’re on your own.
Barry Bonds is on his own. Roger Clemens too. Bonds has been charged with perjury in his connection with steroids. The Rocket is sure to follow. Bonds is scheduled for trial in March. Clemens is being probed as we speak. They both will appear on the Hall of Fame ballot four years from now. Their day of judgment looms. When the law break in, how they gonna go? Shot down on the pavement, or waiting in death row. Regardless, they’ll have to answer to, ohhh, the Guns of Brixton.
Peace out homies. Six two and Even!
Need More? Barry Bonds, MLB, Mark McGwire, Roger Clemens

I’m with the sports writers on this one, the #s are fake.Steroids = power = home runs and maybe probably = a 90mph fastball at the age of 40.They all should have come clean like my man Giambi
