Steelers 35 Chargers 24: Defense, defense, make them scramble, intercept that ball. Defense, defense, keeps the Steelers always best of all! Yes, indeedy do. The Pittsburgh Steelers went into this game with the number one ranked defense in football. Nothing’s changed. Darren Sproles who? Horton hears a what? The Steelers held Sproles and the Chargers to fifteen rushing yards. Fifteen! That’s the lowest total in an NFL playoff game since 1999. Since the Broncos held the Dolphins and Jets to 14 yards each in consecutive games. You know what the man says. The man says defense wins championships.
Eagles 23 Giants 11: Was last year luck? A fluke? Or did the Eagles just learn a few things about a few things? Back in 2007, the Giants sacked McNabb 12 times when they hosted the Eagles, tying the NFL record for sacks in one game. The times they are a changing. The Eagles didn’t allow a sack in any of their three games against the Giants this season. Big deal you say? Who cares you say? I say, that’s an NFL first. I say, sacks have been recorded as an official team statistic since 1963. I say, over the last 46 seasons, 63 pairs of teams met three times in one season, including playoff games. Philadelphia is the first of those 126 teams not to allow a sack in a three-game series. How about that?
Peace out homies. Six two and Even!

You ain’t kidding! Sproles sure wasn’t a superman against the Steelers D. I expected the Chargers to play better overall – but – well, the Steelers looked strong. As for the NYG – what the hell happened to Eli? Yeah, I know, the wind, yadda, yadda, yadda – he couldn’t throw a spiral to save his life yesterday — or his team.
The steelers played ball control. Now that fast willie parkers back in the mix, this is one very scary football team.
