Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go!  Take that Yankees!  John Smoltz to the Red Sox.  Wooo doggie!  The biggest big game pitcher is coming to Beantown baby!  I’ve been waiting for something like this.  Anticipating for something like this.  Raising my basal metabolic rating for something like this.  Finally it’s here.  It’s here in spades. 

The new phone book’s here!  The new phone book’s here!  I’m somebody now!  This is the kind of spontaneous publicity  that makes people.  I’m in print!  Things are going to start happening to me now.  Things are going to start happening for the Red Sox.  The Red Sox have just made themselves better.

Boom Boom Beckett, Dice-K and Smoltzie.  That’s a front three a guy can get excited about.  Throw in Brad Penny.  Throw in Tim Wakefield.  That’s a pitching staff a guy can to war with.  Like the man says, pitching wins championships.  Like the other man says, you’re only as good as you next pitcher.  The Red Sox next pitcher is John Smoltz.  Yowza!  Score one for the good guys.
