A Wild Day For Defensive Backs

Look around.  Hear go the sound of the wreckin’ ball boom and pound when I shut ‘em down.  Shut ‘em, shut ‘em down.  -Public Enemy

Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go!  Defense!  Defense!  Push ‘em hard.  Drag ‘em back.  Hey defense, don’t cut ‘em any slack!  Ed Reed didn’t cut ‘em any slack yeterday.  Assante Samuel didn’t cut ‘em any slack yesterday.

Ed Reed:  The most dominant safety currently playing in the NFL today.  Playmaker.  All day maker.  Making plays all day like he’s at the all you can buffetmaker.  Ate well yesterday, boyeee.

Ate well yesterday intercepting two Chad Pennington offerings.  Get the papers, get the papers.  Scored on one.  For those of you counting, that makes five INTs in three postseason games.  That makes Big Ed Reed one of only three players with five interceptions in their first three NFL playoff games.  The others?  Vernon Perry of the Houston Oilers, Houston Oilers, Houston Oilers, number one!  Aeneas Williams with the Cardinals and Rams.   Ed Reed ladies and gentlemen.  Mr. Excitement.

Assante Samuel:  Think the Patriots regret this one?  I do.  The most sought after free agent of ’08.  Now you know why.  The apple of Philly fans eye.  As nice as pecan pie.

Assante Samuel scored on a 44-yard interception return against the Vikings yesterday.  It was Samuel’s fourth touchdown on an interception return in a postseason game.  Big deal you say?  Who cares you say?  I say, that’s a record.  I say he had previously been tied with Downtown Willie Brown.  And you know they say about ties.  Nobody likes kissing their sister.  Unless of course your name is Sebastian Valmont.  Anyway, where was I?  Oh ya, Samuel has now scored as many postseason TDs as Walter Payton and Marvin Harrison combined.  Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Peace out homies. Six two and Even!

Share the love baby!

wheres the picture of Reed? It didnt help Penningtons cause to put that much air under the ball on that touchdown pick. That was a duck, you cant serve ed Reed up with a duck and expect anything but what happened. you can keep Assante, I’d take Reed in a heartbeat.
