Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go! Slammin’ Sammy Sosa wants back in. Former MVP and SI Sportsman of the Year, Sammy Sosa has reportedly told a Dominican newspaper he has interest in resuming his career. He says, any team who wants to sign him should have the initiative and make an offer.
In very clear English Sosa said, “Those who saw me training know that I’m hitting the ball with the usual authority. I just hope to get the chance to prove that I’m still a threat.” Not so bad for a guy who at the Congressional Hearings on Steroids claimed he could not answer questions due to his limited English abilities. I guess those Berlitz correspondence courses paid off. I’m just saying.
