Brass Bonanza: Ok, here we go! Just in case you didn’t know. Maybe you didn’t hear about it, you’ve been away a long time. They didn’t go up there and tell you. They didn’t go up there and tell you the Brass Bonanza Award is given to the week’s biggest loser. Brass Bonanza was the Hartford Whalers fight song. Need I say more?
I hate to do this one. I really do. Forgive me, Red. The one who should really be asking for forgiveness is Kevin McHale. The latest in a long line of Red disciples to take the helm of an NBA team. A long line of guys like Bill Russell, Don Nelson, Tom Heinsohn, Larry Bird, KC Jones and Bill Sharman to name a few. Good coaches. Winning coaches. Coaches that would make Red proud. McHale should be ashamed of himself.
The Timberwolves, after falling to the Cavaliers 93-70, and running their losing streak to eleven games, are the worst team in basketball. Oklahoma City be damned. This team is worse than bad, they aren’t even competitive. Well, I may not be very tall, but… I’m slow. Red Auerbach is rolling in his grave right now and so are the Timberwolves.
