Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go! Listen, I like the Knicks as much as the next guy. I like what Mike D’Antoni is doing. This is a fun team to watch. Who doesn’t like run and gun basketball? But if you’re gonna gun, you gotta make your shots. Simple really.
It’s simple, so simple. Eliminate you like Gotti. I chill in Bed-Stuy and drive a Maserati. 3rd Bass style. The Knicks were driving a Maerati last night. But even if their Maserati goes 185, it looks like they lost their license and now they can’t drive. Last night, Mike D’Antoni’s run and gun Knicks made only five of their thirty-seven three-point field-goal attempts. It was the 100th time in NBA history that a team attempted at least thirty-five three-pointers in one game. No big deal in and of itself. Howevah, it was the first of those 100 times that the team made no more than five of those shots. In this 30th season of the since three-point line, no team has been as futile from downtown Freddy Brown as last night’s Knicks.
Yes sports fans, Mike D’Antoni has made the Knicks fun again, but fun don’t necessarily translate into wins. Making shots do.
