I’ve got to admit it’s getting better, a little better, all the time.  I have to admit it’s getting better, it’s getting better, since you’ve been mine.  -The Beatles

Public Service Announcement:  Ok, here we go!  Woo doggie!  How ’bout them Celtics.  Just smashing people.  Just bashing people.  Taking a hammer and crashing people.

Took the hammer last night.  Took the hammer to the Indiana Pacers last night.  Took the hammer to improve to 18-2 this season.  Took the hammer to improve to the best record in basketball this season.  The Boston Celtics are the fifth defending NBA champion to win eighteen of their first twenty games (no team has won more.)  And get this, they are the first to do so since the 1985-86 Lakers.  Shaq-Fu!

We all knew the Big Three would be good.  We all knew three is a magic number.  Yes it is, it’s a magic number.  Somewhere in the ancient, mystic trinity, you get three as a magic number.  We knew that.  Did we know Rajon Rondo would be this good?

Coming into last night’s game, Rondo, he of the freakishly large hands, was on a three game run.  Thirty-three assists in three games.  Yowza! A run that over the last thirteen seasons, only one other Celtics’ player has been able to accomplish.  Only Antoine Walker, who had thirty-five assists over three games in January 2001.  Well, he done did it again.  Sort of.

Last night, Rajon Rondo had sixteen points.  Last night, Rajon Rondo had thirteen rebounds.  Last night, Rajon Rondo had seventeen assists.  Goodness!  Triple double.  Triple trouble.  If you wanna know the real deal about the three, well let me tell you we’re triple trouble ya’ll.  We’re gonna bring you up to speed.

I’ll bring you up to speed.  Last night, Rajon Rondo became  the first player this season to have a “triple-dozen.”  Chris Paul hasn’t done it.  Jason Kidd hasn’t done it.  America’s darling, Derrick Rose, hasn’t done it.  Nobody has.  Nobody.  No Celtics has done it since Paul Pierce back in 2003.  Rajon Rondo just continues to get better each and every day.  At this rate he’s going to the All-Star Game.  At this rate, the Celtics are going to Disney Land.

Public Spectacle:

Peace out homies.  Six Two and Even!
