Doesn’t matter she’ll be doing it her way. Doesn’t care if it’s a ten or a two-way. Doesn’t matter she’ll be doing it her way. Every night, every day. -Korn
Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go! Just call him Jimmy Two Times. And then there was Jimmy Two Times, who got that nickname because he said everything twice, like, ”I’m gonna go get the papers, get the papers.” Spencer Larsen got the papers, got the papers yesterday.
Denver Broncos rookie Spencer Larsen started on both offense (FB) and defense (LB) in Sunday’s win over the Falcons. Larsen was the first player to start on both sides of the ball in the same game since Orlando Brown of the Ravens did it in 2003 and the first rookie to do so since the AFL/NFL merger in 1970.
Like my main man John Madden always says, “Football players play football.” Spencer Larsen is a football player. Spencer Larsen plays football. Gordie Lockbaum style. Yesterday afternoon, Larsen made pulverizing tackles as a linebacker. Yesterday afternoon, Larsen dispensed booming blocks as a fullback. Larsen: “I know my job. I was out there to run into people.” That’s just what he did.
Bringing back memories of Chuck Bednarik, Larsen finished third on the Broncos with seven tackles as the starting middle linebacker. With an injury-riddled backfield, the Broncos needed Larsen at fullback. With middle linebacker Nate Webster hurt, the Broncos needed Larsen at linebacker. Bill Parcells says, “I like linebackers. I collect ‘em. You can’t have too many good ones.” And that’s the double truth, Ruth. You can’t have too many Spencer Larsens either.
Public Spectacle:
Peace out homies. Six two and Even!
Need More? Denver Broncos, NFL, Spencer Larsen
