LeBron: Long Live The King

I’m a gangster, I’m a prankster, I’m the king of the Ave.  And I’m hated, confrontated for the juice that I have.  -Beastie Boys

Public Service Announcement:  Ok, here we go!  I know, I know, it’s Sunday.  It’s Sunday and that means football.  On Sunday, football is king.  I get it.  I don’t care.  This Sunday, next Sunday, and every day in between LeBron James is the only true king.  Witness!

Witness what Bron Bron has been done doing this season.  Last night, King James had thirty-eight points.  Last night, King James had five boards.  Last night, King James had seventy cents.  Big deal you say?  Who cares you say?  I say, King James now has 298 points, eighty rebounds and seventy-three dimes in ten games.  I say, only one other player in NBA history has reached those levels in all three categories in his first ten games of a season.  I say, only the Big O.  Now that’s royalty.

Last night LeBron James led his Cavaliers to their seventh straight victory.  Carried his Cavaliers to their seventh straight victory.  He did it all.  He hit threes.  Big threes.  Game winning threes.  He took it to the hole.  Took it to the hole strong.  He passed the ball.  He rebounded the ball.  He blocked the ball.  He stole the ball. He dove for the ball.  He did everything the best basketball player in the world is supposed to do.  Like my main man Ralph Waldo Emerson always says, “When you strike at a king, you must kill him.”  I don’t see anybody doing that for a long long time.  Not Kobe, not nobody.  Long live the King!

Public Spectacle:

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!
