Mark Cuban & The Cubs: No Dice

Baby, I cant stay, you got to roll me, and call me the tumblin’ dice.  -Rolling Stones

Public Service Announcement:  Ok, here we go!  I’m sad about this one.  I really wanted to see this one.  I really wanted to see Mark Cuban break through the good ole boys network and become the owner of the Cubbies.

The team hasn’t won a World Series since 1908.  You know, I know, and Steve Bartman knows, Mark Cuban would do everything in his power to change all that.  Given his deep pockets and uber-drive, Cuban would provide the North Siders the extra boost they need to finally get over that humpty hump.  There are prescious few owners in sports who are more dedicated to providing the absolute best for their team.  There are precious few owners in sports who bring the kind of excitement Cuban can bring.  But alas, it is not meant to be.

“There’s no way Bud and the owners are going to let that happen,” a baseball source told the Chicago Sun-Times earlier this week. “Zero chance.”  That’s just a shame.  A dirty rotten shame.  You know who loses the most most in this?  Cubs fans.  That’s who.  When they meet the new boss, he will be same the same as the old boss.  You saw what the old boss did.  A lot of nothing.

Public Spectacle:

Peace out homies.  Six Two and Even!

Share the love baby!
