Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go! There have been times when it looked as if Matt Cassel was just lucky to be playing. Folks have been saying the Patriots were winning despite him. That’s not the case now and the Indianapolis Colts will see that first hand on Sunday.
There was a time this game was circled in red on your calenders. Brady Vs. Manning. Manning Vs. Brady. The last three times the Indianapolis Colts played the New England Patriots, the Colts were undefeated. A year ago, both teams were in Mercury Morris’ neighborhood when they met in November. Things are a little different now. Brady’s out and Manning’s been very unManninglike. I don’t care. I still hate the Colts. I still hate Manning. Nothing’s changed. I want the Pats to get this fuck where he breathes! I want them to find this Nancy-boy Payton Manning. I want him dead! I want his family dead! I want his house burned to the ground! I want them to go there in the middle of the night and I want them to piss on his ashes!
Matt Cassel is just the man to do it. Like Rajon Rondo, he just keeps getting better and better, game after game. And, if your paying attention, you know that Matt Cassel has a higher QB rating (84.6) than Peyton Manning (79.0). Yowza! We all know by now King Cassel hadn’t started a game since he was in high school but he is beginning to look al lot more comfortable leading an offense that just last year was one of the most high-powered offenses in NFL history. He is developing some consistency with receivers Randy Moss and Wes Welker. And if you saw the pass to Marshall Kevin Faulk in the northwest corner of the end zone last week, then you know. You know what this kid is capable of. The Colts will know it on Sunday. The world will know it come February. Roll Pats, Roll!
