Stat of the Day:  But look around.  Hear go the sound of the wreckin’ ball boom and pound when I shut ‘em down.  Martin Brodeur shut ‘em down last night.  About time.

Last night, Brodeur ended his career-long streak of 44 consecutive regular-season starts without a shutout with a 1-0 win over the Thrashers in Atlanta.  Brodeur’s last shutout was a 3-0 win over the Flyers on January 4.  He has had only two other stretches in which he went thity or more starts without a shutout: thirty-five starts from March-November 2007 and 33 starts spanning the 2003-04 and 2005-06 seasons.  Wecome back Marty!

Peace out homies.  Six Two and Even!
