Stat Of The Day

Stat of the day, who will it be?  Your vote will hold the key. It’s up to you, tell us who, will be stat of the day.  -Community Auditions

Stat of the Day:  Let me root, root, root for the home team.  If they don’t win it’s a shame.  For it’s one, two, three strikes, you’re out, at the old ball game!  Tim Lincecum struck out thirteen batters last night.  Tim Lincecum raised his league-leading strikeout total to 265 in the Giants’ win over the Dodgers last night.

Big deal, you say?  Who cares, you say?  I say, since 1900, only three other pitchers had as many strikeouts in their sophomore season as Lincecum.  Only three.  Vida Blue, Frank Tanana and Doctor K himself, Dwight Gooden.  Pretty good company if I do damn say so my own damn self.  7,241 combined strikeout company.  Two Cy Youngs , an MVP, thirteen All Star appearances, six World Series championships and a Rookie of the Year company.  Come and dance on on our floor.  Take a step that is new.  We’ve a loveable space that needs your face, three’s company too!

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!
