Stat Of The Day: There’s always a first time. Rookie rookie, who gets the cookie? Two! That’s two, two wonderful rookies! Ha ha ha ha! Cincinnati rookies Joey Votto and Jay Bruce each hit two bombs in the Reds’ 11-2 victory over the floundering Brewers last night.
It’s the first time since 1957, the year that the current definition for rookie status was established, that two rookie teammates each hit two ding-dongs in the same game. How about that? You woulda thunk Lynn and Rice. No?
Public Spectacle:
Peace out homies. Six two and Even!
